Costa Rica Gateway  ( 9 day/8 Nights)

 

This is the perfect combination package for those seeking nature, wildlife, and white sandy beaches. Begin by experiencing a day tour in San Jose. You will also explore the Arenal Volcano area, Costa Rica’s most active volcano. Then, you will experience the natural beauty and wildlife of the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Finally, you will finish your vacation relaxing at a white sandy beach or enjoying beach activities or water sports at a white sandy beach Resort in the Central Pacific Coast.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at the San Jose International Airport, a representative will welcome you and drive you to your hotel. The rest of the day is for you to relax or enjoy San Jose. Overnight at Hotel Herradura
 
Day 2
You can choose a day tour that best fit your desires. Here are your alternatives:

 Day 3
8 AM, A representative will pick you up and drive you to Arenal Volcano. The ride will take approximately 3.5 hours. After you check at your hotel and rest, we will visit Tabacon Hot Springs, where you can relax in the swimming pool while watching the Volcano eruptions. Overnight at Arenal Country Inn.
 
Day 4
In the morning, we will explore the Arenal Lake and Arenal National Park. Early afternoon, we will drive you to Monteverde. The rest of the day is for you to explore the area by yourself.  Overnight, Los Establos Hotel.(B)
 
Day 5
Day of leisure to explore the area by yourself. Additional tour can be added upon request at an additional fee. Alternative tours includes Monteverde Cloud forest, Sky Walk or the Sky Trek, the cheese factory, the butterfly gardens etc. Read more about these additional tours

Day 6
12 Noon, we will pick you up, and drive you to the Central Pacific Coast. We will also stop along the way at Tarcoles River where you can safely observe wild crocodiles sun bathing on the river banks only a few feet away.  After you check in at your Hotel in Punta Leona, you can explore the area. Overnight at Punta Leona Beach Resort

Day 7
Day of leisure to explore the area by yourself. Punta Leona has many activities for all ages. You could visit to the Punta Leona Private Reserve, where you can hike and enjoy the scarlet macaws and wildlife of the area, or just enjoy a relaxing day at the any of the resort beaches or swimming pools. At night, you could have nightlife adventure at any of the hotel restaurants, bars or dance club.

Day 8
Day of leisure to explore the area by yourself.
 
Day 9
We will drive you to San Jose International Airport via the old Spaniard's Route, an uphill amazingly scenic route. If weather conditions are good, you can view both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans from the same spot.
