Drivers must be minimum 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license from their country of origin. Additionally, car rentals require a deposit, depending of the vehicle type. A major credit card is also required. Pick up and drop off can be done in San Jose, airport and most major tourist centers in Costa Rica. Drop off charges varies depending on the type of vehicle rented and location.
